This has served NAK well and over the years they have built up a client base of some highly regarded brands and have extended their professional and managed services across networking, security and cloud.

The challenge

As a business built on reputation, NAK was organically growing through client expansion and regular referrals. However, the leadership team was looking to scale the business faster and believed now was the time to invest in marketing.

NAK faced two challenges. The first was that NAK’s business and capabilities had evolved significantly over the years but how they positioned themselves in the market had not. Secondly, to truly scale their business they needed to expand their market reach and gain far greater awareness amongst their target audience.

Why cremarc

NAK knew of Cremarc as they had seen what we had achieved with similar organisations in the tech sector.  NAK was not looking to build their own marketing team but to partner with a specialist agency that could truly act as part of their virtual team and provide all the skills they needed.

We quickly demonstrated to NAK that we understood the sector in which they operate and the technical propositions and services they offer – we simply spoke their language. This filled NAK with confidence that we understood their challenges, but more importantly, how to address them.

Simplifying the proposition

Like many MSPs, the services and capabilities that NAK could offer had evolved over the years, where it all made perfect sense internally, for those on the outside it had become quite a complicated offering.

By talking to the team and existing customers, Cremarc was quickly able to understand NAK’s capabilities and their unique value. NAK not only had extensive experience of networking and IT management, they also had deep-rooted expertise in software-defined infrastructure and securing the new hybrid world.

We created a proposition that positioned NAK as a new breed of MSP focused on the SDN era who was able to connect, secure and enable the new hybrid, agile environment.

Creating fame

With a clear and focused proposition in place, the next challenge was to make NAK famous. To do this we redeveloped their website, not only to align with the updated proposition, but to ensure the content and UX was aligned to the buying journeys of their target personas.

Once launched, the focus was to generate traffic to the site, ensuring all clients knew the full breadth of NAK’s capabilities and broadening the awareness of NAK in the UK market. We created a social strategy and meticulously established a rhythm of activity that significantly raised brand awareness.

Engaging NAK’s target audience

As NAK’s marketing team, Cremarc is now focused on creating a high performance and sustainable demand generation function. At the heart of what we do for NAK is marketing automation and this helps us to drive fully integrated digital campaigns.

These campaigns focus on the pains and desired gains of NAK’s target audience and delivers highly relevant content in the form of blogs, infographics and best practice guides.
